The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has asked for public comment on the ratings system for children’s programming.
Congress created a law in 1996 that led to the TV Parental Guidelines age ratings system, which still exists.
The TV Oversight Management Board oversees the voluntary ratings system. With the prevalence of objectionable “transgender” themes in children’s programs, the FCC wants to ensure that the ratings system “continues to serve the purpose that Congress had in mind—empowering parents to make informed decisions for their children.”
