South Carolina Just Handed Down the Law — Boys and Men BANNED from Girls’ and Women’s Spaces

Governor Henry McMaster of South Carolina on Friday signed a bill into law that protects the privacy of girls and women and supports their safety in restrooms and changing rooms in college and K-12.

The legislature passed HB 4756 last month to stop boys and men from using private spaces designated for girls and women. Anyone whose rights are violated under this law has “a private cause of action for declaratory and injunctive relief against the offending public school or public institution of higher learning.”

South Carolina is on the leading edge of hamstringing the “transgender” agenda. Lawmakers protected children from puberty blockers and mutilating surgery. In 2022, Gov. McMaster signed the Save Women’s Sports Act into law, which bars boys and men from competing on girls’ and women’s sports teams.

“The Save Women’s Sports Act is now the law of the land in South Carolina,” Gov. McMaster said. “We have to do everything we can to protect the young men and women in our state who choose to pursue athletic competition, and that’s why I proudly signed this bill into law yesterday.”
