Is Alma College Discriminating Against Students Based on Race and Skin Color in Scholars Program?

Alma College, a private liberal arts school in Michigan, affiliated with the Presbyterian denomination, created the Campbell Scholars Program, which, despite the “inclusive” language, seems to exclude whites.

The Equal Protection Project (EPP), a project of the Legal Insurrection Foundation, filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights last week about the blatant discrimination.

According to Alma College’s web site, the program “provides cultural, academic, social, and financial literacy resources and mentorship to students of color and their allies.”

What’s an ally — a white person who prostrates himself to DEI? It appears that white people don’t qualify as an ally. Eligible students: those who self-identify as black, American Indian, Hispanic, Asian, etc…unless a white person pretends to be any of these things?

Legal Insurrection said the Campbell Scholarship Program violates federal and state law, and the school’s own non-discrimination rules.
