President Donald Trump will sign an executive order this week to strengthen the foster care system. The order will make it easier for children in the system to transition out and into productive adulthood.
The order will help facilitate First Lady Melania Trump’s new initiative, Fostering the Future Together. The objectives during the initial phase, according to the briefing statement, include prioritizing foster children’s personal development and improving access to education, jobs, and technology. An excerpt:
The members of Fostering the Future Together will include the spouses—or equivalent representatives—of heads of government. Fostering the Future Together will be implemented by participating members at the local level, within their respective countries. Mrs. Trump will host Fostering the Future Together’s inaugural meeting at the White House during the first quarter of 2026.
President Trump issued a proclamation in May, which is “National Foster Care Month,” honoring those families.
Perhaps the initiative and executive order will strengthen protections for Christian foster parents who refuse to approve statements that require them to affirm a child’s “gender identity.”
A recent example is out of Boston. A couple who brought children into their home for four-and-a-half years are suddenly unfit because they refuse to sow confusion in the children they love and protect.
