At the 2025 National Clergy Summit, Donald Eason, the Center for Urban Renewal and Education‘s (CURE) president, interviewed CURE’s founder and previous president, Star Parker.
Star retired as CURE’s president in 2025. She remains a part of CURE, however, as a social policy consultant. She passed the torch to Donald, who is also a pastor. After three decades of leading, Star said, it was time for a new chapter.

Every community needs strong guidance from men, especially pastoral guidance. Star told a gathering of over 400 pastors that the government can’t fix problems in our inner-cities. Solutions must come from pastors, not politicians.
