As society becomes more permissive and normalizes deviancy, safeguarding for children weakens.
Children are not capable of understanding the full consequences of what they do or what others do to them. Good parents teach their children not to keep secrets from them. People who understand the importance of protecting children will not ask them to keep secrets from their parents.
Children should not know about a teacher’s sex life, for instance, or be exposed to sexual words and images. Children, impressionable and vulnerable, should not see men exposing themselves or dressed like women.
Imagine a child attending a “pride” parade, watching perverse actions that include men exposing their genitals. The confused child is watching adults laughing at these scenes. The child learns that such things are funny, not a danger. He or she no longer knows what is inappropriate. How easy would it be for a man to groom that child and convince the child to keep it secret?
The U.S. Department of Education’s (ED) Office for Civil Rights has launched an initiative to keep children safe from sexual predators in government schools, even if their parents are stupid.
ED issued guidance to government schools K-12 to remind them of legal obligations to safeguard children and appropriately respond to incidents of sexual misconduct under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
One part of this guidance mandates that schools must continue to investigate sexual misconduct once law enforcement gets involved and keep their investigations open.
“Institutions must ensure their grievance procedures are timely, thorough, and genuinely responsive.”
Linda McMahon, ED secretary, said the administration is holding government schools accountable.
“Our schools must protect America’s children. Parents should never have to wonder whether their kids’ school employs and protects sexual predators.”
Parents must be involved. Encourage your children not to lie or keep secrets from you. Groomers are counting on uninvolved parents.
